The Holocaust. Why would someone do such a thing to 6 million innocent people that did nothing to him or anyone? It was just one man and his army, the Nazis. His name was Adolf Hitler.
Adolf Hitler’s massacre with the Jews started when the Nazi soldiers and Hitler took control in 1933 (school.eb.com). They had gradually put Germany under their rule without the Germans even knowing because of how gradual and slow it took. Hitler wanted to execute all Jews as his part of his plan to take power of the world. Towards the end of the war, he and his army killed about 6 million harmless Jews and other races. From men, women, and children. Thats over ⅔ of the Jewish population in Europe (worldbookonline.com).
Hitler persecuted all of these people by concentration camps. These were cruel places that he sent people to so that they could be tortured and starved until their death. There were many
concentration camps throughout Europe that he and his army built. They were your death camps. Some concentration camps were really really bad. The worst one was Auschwitz (auschwitz.org). This we all know from the stories that were told, and the books we’ve read. We will find more about Auschwitz in the next chapter.
In conclusion, this chapter was about Adolf Hitler, the Nazis, and a brush on concentration camps. This man and his army did many cruel things to people that did not deserve to be punished for anything.
